Job summary

Insight Global is seeking a Backend Developer for a leading global investment banking and financial services client in Birmingham. This contract role is onsite full-time through end of year, inside IR35, requiring five days on site.

You will join a Corporate Treasury Engineering team to build and support platforms for Liquidity Monitoring and Reporting, with a cloud-native transformation and high-impact data projects. Collaboration with engineers and analysts is key.

Qualifications

• Experience developing enterprise applications using Java and/or Python.
• Experience with large datasets in reporting, analytics, or financial systems.
• Strong data processing, data transformation, and data integration knowledge.
• Experience writing and optimising SQL queries.
• Knowledge of relational databases and data modelling principles.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to collaborate effectively within cross-functional engineering teams.
