Role summary

The Cloud Monitoring and Compliance Engineer ensures visibility into security and compliance across KPMG's cloud environments, managing tools on Windows, Azure, and O365 platforms. Collaborating with security engineers, analysts, and architects, responsibilities include:

• Analyzing MDC Product alerts related to CWP & CSPM
• Customizing Cloud Security Posture Management and Microsoft Defender for Cloud features
• Onboarding new tenants and cloud providers
• Implementing automated remediation
• Liaising with vendors for product development
• Managing and troubleshooting cloud security tools
• Collaborating with other teams to meet compliance standards
• Using DevOps for project tracking

Key Accountabilities

• Analyze MDC Product alerts
• Enhance CSPM and CWP features for KPMG needs
• Plan and execute automated remediation
• Engage with vendors and onboard new cloud tenants
• Manage and troubleshoot security tools

Experience / Qualifications

• Solid IT experience with major cloud providers
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience
• Knowledge of Cloud Security Posture Management tools (Microsoft MDC, Twistlock, Redlock)
• Experience securing cloud environments and compliance standards
• Understanding of API security and standards
• Knowledge of exploits, malware, ransomware detection
• Web application architecture and system administration skills
• Ability to build complex queries (RQL, KQL, SQL)
• Experience with Azure, AWS, or GCP security features
• Programming skills in Python or PowerShell
