Role summary

The Cloud Monitoring & Compliance Engineer provides visibility into security and compliance across KPMG's cloud environments, ensuring configurations and guardrails are adhered to, and systems are secure. Responsibilities include managing GSOC tools on Windows, Azure, and O365 platforms, supporting multi-cloud environments, and working with a team of security professionals. Key responsibilities include:

• Analyzing MDC Product alerts related to CWP & CSPM for internal clients.
• Customizing and enhancing Cloud Security Posture Management and Cloud Workflow Protection features.
• Onboarding new tenants and cloud providers.
• Planning and implementing automated remediation.
• Collaborating with vendors and internal teams to optimize tools and processes.
• Managing daily operations, troubleshooting, and housekeeping of security tools.

Key Accountabilities

• Analyzing MDC Product alerts and client requests.
• Enhancing CSPM and CWP features to meet specific requirements.
• Automating remediation activities.
• Vendor liaison and onboarding of new cloud tenants.
• Operational management of security tools.

Experience / Qualifications

• Solid IT experience with major cloud providers.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Knowledge of Cloud Security Posture Management tools (Microsoft MDC, Twistlock, Redlock).
• Experience securing cloud environments, including compliance and certification.
• Understanding of API security standards.
• Knowledge of exploits, malware, and detection methods.
• Web application architecture and system administration knowledge.
• Experience with RQL, KQL, or SQL queries.
• Hands-on experience with Azure, AWS, or GCP security features.
• Programming skills in Python or PowerShell.
