As a Lead Software Engineer at JPMorgan Chase within the Global Bank Engineering and Architecture team, you will enhance and deliver secure, scalable technology products. You will drive business impact through technical expertise and problem-solving across diverse technologies and applications.

We are looking for a dynamic Cloud Software Engineer to guide technical teams with expert direction. Responsibilities include developing secure code, reviewing others' work, influencing product design and operations, advocating for firmwide practices, designing test cases, ensuring application quality, collaborating on solutions to prevent issues, tracking metrics, and generating reports.

Job responsibilities:

• Utilize hands-on experience with AWS.
• Implement and manage infrastructure using Terraform, Docker, and Kubernetes technologies.
• Apply knowledge of various database technologies such as Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, and Cassandra.
• Demonstrate proficiency in one or more modern programming languages.
• Engage in coding and enjoy building prototypes and reference implementations.
• Leverage advanced knowledge of application, data, and infrastructure architecture disciplines.
• Exhibit empathy for developers and a passion for enhancing productivity and experience for engineering teams.

Qualifications, capabilities, and skills:

• Formal training or certification in Java concepts and proficient advanced experience.
• Proficiency in Java (or Python) and SQL, with the ability to write efficient and scalable code for applications, data processing, and analysis.
• Exposure to Data Lake or Big Data technologies, with familiarity in working with large-scale data storage solutions.
• Strong knowledge of AWS, including designing, implementing, and managing cloud-based solutions using services such as S3, EC2, Lambda, and Glue.
• Proficiency in Terraform for infrastructure as code to automate cloud resource provisioning and management.
• Experience in producing technical documentation and/or user guides, creating clear, concise, and comprehensive materials for various stakeholders.
• Hands-on practical experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
• Experience in developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a large corporate environment with modern programming and database querying skills.
• Overall knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle.
• Solid understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, application resiliency, and security.
• Demonstrated knowledge of software applications and technical processes within disciplines like cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, or mobile.
