KO2 Embedded Recruitment Solutions Ltd. Manchester-based client seeks a Software Infrastructure Engineer to design and deliver scalable infrastructure for cloud and on-prem contexts. Salary up to £70,000 DOE, great exposure to cutting-edge stacks across multiple sectors.

Role focuses on enabling software teams, evaluating tech choices, operating production environments, and mentoring engineers in a regulated setting. Central Manchester office, easily accessible by public transport.

Qualifications

• Proven production experience deploying and managing infrastructure on major cloud providers.
• Hands-on with Kubernetes, Terraform, and Ansible; OpenStack experience is a plus.
• Strong Linux and Git skills with on-prem and cloud infra management.
• Production operations expertise; SRE knowledge is advantageous.
• Clear interest in Free and Open Source Software communities.

Responsibilities

• Support and enable software engineering teams through scalable, distributed infrastructure.
• Evaluate and input to infrastructure technology choices.
• Deliver and operate solutions in highly regulated environments.
