Job summary

Hodge, a Welsh financial services provider focused on real estate finance, is seeking a Cloud Infrastructure Engineer in Cardiff. You will join the Service, Security & Operations team, delivering day-to-day operations and third-line support for infrastructure, both on-site and in the cloud.

Role focuses on proactive issue management, collaboration with internal and external teams, and implementing security-first changes.

Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent tech qualification or relevant experience.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Azure, M365, Entra ID (Azure AD) and user management.
• Understanding of managing Virtual Machines, desktop and server.
• Understanding of user applications and network management.

Responsibilities

• Pro-actively manage infrastructure and service desk issues to ensure timely resolution.
• Create and maintain high quality documentation for knowledge sharing.
• Engage with external suppliers and internal teams to resolve issues.
• Implement changes with quality controls and security considerations.
• Apply cyber security requirements to all work and incident triage.
• Collaborate with service providers to resolve incidents and outages.
• Maintain on-site and cloud infrastructure configurations and permissions.
• Participate in out-of-hours support for patching and maintenance.
• Update knowledge base and support ongoing continuous improvement.
