About this role

BlackRock's Infrastructure Hosting - Cloud Engineering team is responsible for building, growing, and maintaining the firm's multi-cloud strategy. We are seeking a Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to join our team and facilitate the adoption of Cloud technology across the firm. Our interdisciplinary team focuses on providing capabilities from Azure, AWS, GCP, and Oracle Clouds to our development community in a scalable, resilient, and secure manner. We are passionate about solving complex problems through technology and emphasizing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and automation to address large-scale challenges.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with our international, multidisciplinary team to develop our Cloud technology capabilities.
• Lead the delivery of cloud technology products and strategies, incorporating feedback for continuous improvement.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies to ensure timely delivery to our customers.
• Resolve complex issues related to our cloud services and platform.
• Create clear user documentation and How-To guides to enhance team productivity.
• Engage in solution design reviews with new development teams to understand their needs and ensure platform suitability.

Requirements:

• At least 3 years of experience provisioning, deploying, and supporting cloud-native applications and infrastructure, preferably in Azure, AWS, GCP, or OCI.
• Minimum of 2 years of Terraform experience capable of delivering complex infrastructure across cloud providers.
• At least 2 years of CI/CD experience using tools like Azure DevOps, GitLab, or Jenkins.
• Experience in systems automation with BASH, PowerShell, Python, GoLang, or similar.
• Contributed to Agile teams to achieve common goals.
• Knowledge of cloud networking resources such as VPCs, VCNs, Vnets, NSGs, Security Groups, etc.
• Experience with deployment and orchestration tools like Helm, Docker, Kubernetes.

Ideal candidate qualities:

• Hands-on approach and perseverance in solving problems.
• Ability to establish order in cloud automation standards.
• Passion for developing and evolving CI/CD pipelines following GitOps principles.
