As our new Cloud Infrastructure Engineer, you’ll play a key role in helping us achieve our goals. You will enable Jet2 to deploy and manage our AWS cloud infrastructure efficiently and securely, bridging the gap between development and operations, ensuring infrastructure changes are treated as code and are maintainable across the application lifecycle.

Responsibilities:

• Cloud Infrastructure Design: Collaborate with development teams to design secure, scalable, reliable, and cost-effective architectures following well-architected frameworks.
• Infrastructure-as-Code: Use Terraform to define, manage, and provision cloud infrastructure through configuration files and state management.
• CI/CD Integration: Incorporate Terraform into CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps for consistent infrastructure deployment.
• Monitoring and Troubleshooting: Monitor cloud assets' health and performance, troubleshoot issues, and set up logging and monitoring solutions within AWS and third-party tools.
• Security and Compliance: Implement best practices for security and compliance, ensuring resources adhere to policies and standards, and guide development teams accordingly.

Requirements:

• AWS Knowledge: Strong understanding of AWS services such as VPC, EC2, RDS, Route 53, DynamoDB, EKS, Transit Gateway, Firewalls, and routing.
• Collaborative Skills: Effective communication and teamwork with developers, DevOps engineers, and project managers.
• Cloud Architecture: Ability to architect scalable, reliable, and cost-effective solutions on Azure using Terraform, with good resource organization and tagging practices.
• Networking: Understanding of networking concepts, virtual networks, subnets, and firewall configuration using Terraform.

Desirable Certifications: AWS Solution Architect, SysOps, DevOps Associate, professional certifications, or HashiCorp Certified Terraform Associate.
