Job summary

Smartedge Solutions in the UK is seeking an Application Developer to design identity and access workflows in a cloud-native environment. The role focuses on identity API development, data ingestion and transformation, and event-driven architectures (Pub/Sub) using Google Cloud Platform.

You will collaborate with Cloud Security, DevOps and Application Engineering to deliver secure IAM automation, lifecycle workflows, and robust integrations across services in a hybrid, in-office or flexible setup

Qualifications

• Experience building identity and access workflows in cloud environments.
• Proficient in Python, Go, or Node.js for API and microservices.
• Experience with cloud-native APIs and IAM automation.
• Hands-on with Terraform and IaC practices.
• Strong understanding of OAuth2, OIDC, JWT, and SAML.
• Experience with Pub/Sub pipelines and event-driven design.

Responsibilities

• Identity provisioning and lifecycle workflow design and implementation.
• Design, build, and secure RESTful APIs and backend services.
• Build Pub/Sub pipelines for asynchronous workflows and events.
• Create Terraform modules for IAM and API deployments.
• Collaborate with security, DevOps and engineering teams on secure integrations.
