Job summary

CDW is seeking an Associate Cloud FinOps Manager in Manchester to support financial and operational performance for small to mid-tier accounts. You will help mature FinOps capabilities, deliver governance, analytics, optimization strategies, and value-led engagement for customers.

The role involves cost analysis, forecasting support, and ownership of customer deliverables with growing independence, ensuring strong financial stewardship across accounts.

Qualifications

• Solid experience with cloud technologies across AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Strong grasp of cloud financial management disciplines: cost allocation, budgeting and forecasting, optimisation, and reporting.
• High analytical capability to translate data into insights for customers.
• Familiarity with platforms like CloudHealth, AWS Cost Explorer, Azure Cost Management, or willingness to develop deep expertise.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills for stakeholders at all levels.
• Organised and detail-driven, able to manage multiple customers and workstreams.
• Collaborative mindset to work with FinOps practitioners, engineering teams, and cross-functional partners.

Responsibilities

• Sales Support: work with sales in pre-sales to drive new opportunities with technical insights and Baseline analyses.
• Assist in crafting proposal content highlighting Cloud FinOps value for small to mid-tier customers.
• Support senior team in developing cloud financial strategies and governance for cost control and value realization.
• Engage with customers to understand usage patterns, cost drivers and business goals; provide analysis and recommendations.
• Contribute to optimisation by analysing resource utilisation and tagging hygiene.
• Assist in producing usage trend analysis, anomaly detection, forecasting, and cost modelling.
• Prepare and maintain financial reports, dashboards, and KPI metrics for accounts.
• Help create training materials and support FinOps education workshops.
• Build relationships with customer contacts, partner teams, and internal stakeholders.
• Attend sessions to promote CDW’s Cloud FinOps capability.
• Contribute ideas to mature CDW’s Cloud FinOps services.
• Stay informed on cloud pricing and FinOps trends including GreenOps and SAM/ITAM.
• Performs duties as required by evolving business needs.
