We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Cloud FinOps Analyst to join our Cloud Platforms team as we expand our global capabilities in Google Cloud and Microsoft Azure. This role is based within Bupa Group Functions and involves supporting the Cloud Business Manager with the financial operations of our Cloud Platforms.

The ideal candidate will assist in managing and optimizing cloud financial operations, bridging finance, cloud operations, and engineering teams. Responsibilities include managing cloud costs, enhancing financial visibility, and advising on best practices for cloud resource utilization to enable cost-effective scaling and efficient operations.

How you’ll help us make health happen:

  1. Cloud Cost Management Reporting: Monitor and advise on cloud expenses across platforms (Azure & GCP), enabling cost visualization and optimization through reporting.
  2. Cost Optimization: Provide actionable insights and FinOps tasks to application teams.
  3. Cloud Financial Reporting: Develop and maintain reports tracking cloud spend, usage trends, cost allocations, and credits.
  4. Cross-Market Collaboration: Facilitate monthly workshops and reporting with Business Units; support cost center owners with annual budget forecasts.
  5. FinOps Community: Promote FinOps awareness and maturity organization-wide through participation in the FinOps community of practice; help shape FinOps training and tooling.
  6. Ad-hoc Support: Provide administrative support for Cloud Financial Operations, including managing purchase orders, invoice alignment, and liaising with finance partners.

Key Skills / Qualifications:

  • 2+ years in cloud financial operations, cloud cost management, or financial analysis
  • Proficiency with Public Cloud Platforms (Azure or GCP) and native cost management tools (Azure Cost Manager, Google Cloud Billing)
  • Experience with financial reporting tools (Excel, Power BI) for creating reports and dashboards
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for presenting complex data to diverse stakeholders
  • Strong attention to detail in reporting and analysis
  • Effective relationship-building skills; curiosity to explore and optimize
