VIQU IT in Stafford is seeking a Cloud Engineer to join on a hybrid basis, delivering internal Microsoft cloud improvements and eventually customer consultancy and pre-sales support. The role offers a permanent position with a salary of £50,000–£55,000 and opportunities to drive automation and AI adoption.

You will own Microsoft cloud environments, guide discovery and licensing, and work on security, governance, and documentation across M365, Azure, Entra ID, Intune and SharePoint.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Cloud Engineer or senior Microsoft engineer.
• Proficient Microsoft 365 administration across Intune, Entra ID, SharePoint, Exchange Online.
• Azure administration experience including server infrastructure and networking.
• Experience with vulnerability scanning (Nessus/Tenable) and Cyber Essentials.
• Understanding of cloud security, governance, backup and disaster recovery.
• MSP or multi-tenant experience preferred; complex internal IT env welcomed.
• Able to explain solutions to customers; interested in consultancy/pre-sales.
• Strong documentation and knowledge-sharing.
• Power Automate experience; MD-102 / MS-102 / AZ-104 certifications advantageous.
• Driving licence and flexibility to attend office.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of Microsoft cloud environments, initially internal then customer delivery.
• Advise customers on Microsoft cloud solutions, including discovery and licensing.
• Design and implement Microsoft 365, Azure, Entra ID, Intune, SharePoint.
• Improve security and governance via vulnerability management and Cyber Essentials.
• Act as escalation point for complex Microsoft cloud issues.
• Drive automation and service improvements with Power Automate.
• Produce technical docs, review backups and disaster recovery, upskill colleagues.
