Job summary

Elaniti is seeking an experienced DevOps Engineer in London to own our cloud infrastructure and security posture. This hands-on role focuses on maintainable, team-owned systems, IaC, CI/CD, containerised workloads and cost optimization.

You will work with bioinformatics and ML engineers in a small, growing tech team to design and secure production platforms, ensure reliability and scale with confidence, and continuously improve operational maturity.

Qualifications

• Own production cloud infrastructure with a DevOps/Platform mindset.
• Strong IaC experience (Terraform or equivalents) and change-management discipline.
• Proficient in Linux, containers, automation and software delivery.
• Security-focused, with secure-by-default engineering practices.
• Experience with observability, performance and cloud cost optimization.
• Ability to investigate unfamiliar systems and verify deployments against documentation.

Responsibilities

• Design, build and operate cloud infrastructure with IaC and repeatable changes.
• Own CI/CD and release processes for platform, APIs and ML workflows.
• Manage containerised infrastructure for data and ML workloads.
• Improve security, resilience and operational maturity of systems.
• Modernize legacy infra while building new scalable systems.
• Collaborate with bioinformaticians, ML/AI engineers and the wider team on architecture and tooling.
