Job summary

Outsource UK is seeking an experienced DevOps Engineer on a 9-month contract to support the Enterprise Data Platform in a flexible, UK-based role with 1-2 days onsite. The role focuses on cloud-native infrastructure, automation, and secure platform engineering within Azure environments for AI/ML workloads.

You will design, build, and maintain scalable infrastructure, collaborating with Data Engineers, MLOps Engineers, and Solution Architects to promote DevOps best practices and secure

Qualifications

• Experience with Azure cloud and networking; RBAC and Landing Zone concepts.
• Hands-on GitLab CI/CD pipelines experience.
• Docker-based container workloads and orchestration with Kubernetes (AKS).
• Terraform or similar IaC tools (Bicep) for cloud infrastructure.
• Solid troubleshooting of infra and deployments; strong collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitLab for Azure deployments.
• Develop and manage containerisation workflows with Docker and AKS.
• Configure and support AKS clusters with scalable, secure setups.
• Implement IaC using Terraform aligned with Azure Landing Zone standards.
• Manage secrets and access via Azure Key Vault and Azure AD.
• Enable hybrid connectivity between on-premises and cloud environments.
• Support orchestration workflows with Apache Airflow.
• Monitor performance with Azure Monitor, Prometheus, and Grafana.
• Collaborate across teams to ensure reproducibility, scalability, and compliance.
• Contribute to architecture discussions and DevOps best practices.
