Job summary

MONY Group plc is seeking a hands-on data/platform engineer to build and operate a reliable data platform that powers analytics, CRM and ML across the group. You will help operate the platform and evolve capabilities used by multiple teams.

We value engineering judgement, curiosity, and the ability to apply automation responsibly to real delivery challenges. A focus on secure, observable systems and reducing toil will define success in this role.

Qualifications

• Strong software or data engineering fundamentals with production Python and SQL.
• Experience building, operating or improving cloud-based systems.
• Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code, CI/CD, version control and automated testing.
• Ability to reason about reliability, security, observability and operational support.
• Experience working with technical and non-technical stakeholders and communicating clearly.
• Curiosity about AI-assisted engineering and automation with practical delivery workflows.

Responsibilities

• Build and operate the data platform: design, deliver and operate platform infra using Terraform; improve CI/CD pipelines and platform tooling.
• Collaborate with security, compliance and data-protection teams to reduce risk and improve data handling practices.
• Create robust, scalable data solutions supporting CRM, SEO, financial reporting and personalisation.
• Apply software engineering best practices to data problems and stay close to business context.
• Improve monitoring, alerting, data quality checks and observability.
