Job summary

TRIA is seeking a Data/Analytics Engineer to join our client's high-performing BI team in the UK, building scalable data solutions for reporting and self-service analytics.

You’ll design and optimise ETL/ELT pipelines, develop curated datasets, and collaborate with BI developers to support performant dashboards. The role involves working with cloud technologies and modern data platforms in a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Strong SQL skills with data modeling experience.
• Experience building and optimizing ETL/ELT pipelines.
• Experience with cloud data platforms (AWS preferred).
• Familiarity with data warehousing and data lakes.
• Knowledge of workflow orchestration tools.
• Python experience (including PySpark) is beneficial.
• Familiarity with BI tools and how backend models support reporting.
• Interest in modern data engineering practices and emerging technologies.

Responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines that deliver reliable, high-quality data.
• Develop curated, business-ready datasets that support reporting, dashboards and self-service analytics.
• Optimise data models, SQL queries and pipeline performance to improve efficiency and scalability.
• Collaborate with BI Developers to build backend data models that support performant visualisations.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of the data platform, exploring modern tooling and engineering best practices.
