What will you be doing?

We are looking for talented and passionate individuals to join our London office as Data, Cloud, DevOps, or Software Engineers, ranging from junior engineers to principal solution architects. You can work across several of these areas! As part of our team, you will develop innovative solutions that give our clients a competitive edge in the digital world.

You will be involved in consulting, designing, and implementing cutting-edge technologies, and leading multidisciplinary teams. Your responsibilities will include:

1. Advocating for high-quality engineering
2. Driving innovation through strategic prioritization and expertise
3. Participating in (or leading) architecture discussions
4. Leading or contributing to Data, Cloud, DevOps, or Software Engineering teams
5. Providing consultancy to clients on relevant topics
6. Interacting with senior client stakeholders and building strong relationships
7. Collaborating with clients to maximize their data and technology investments
8. Working within highly experienced engineering teams in the Finance Industry
9. Leading by example with ownership, proactivity, and collaboration
10. Designing and building innovative, reusable solutions using modern technologies
11. Mentoring engineering teams to deliver high-quality solutions
12. Contributing to Blue Harvest’s vision and innovation portfolio

Mandatory Qualifications

• Strong hands-on technical expertise in software, cloud, and/or data solutions
• Experience with at least one cloud platform (AWS, Azure, GCP)
• Hands-on experience in designing and building end-to-end software solutions
• Proficiency in at least one programming language such as Java, Python, Scala, or C#
• Excellent communication skills and emotional intelligence
• Experience working in an Agile environment

Subject-matter Qualifications

• Infrastructure as code and DevOps practices
• Experience with monitoring tools (Grafana, Prometheus, ELK stack)
• Experience with configuration management tools (Puppet, Ansible, Chef)
• Experience with event-driven applications (Kafka) and API solutions
• Data engineering experience (SQL, NoSQL, data services ecosystems)
• Experience with distributed data computing and Big Data ecosystems
• Data modeling, database design, SQL performance tuning
• API design and development experience

Other / Beneficial Skills

• Previous experience in Finance, payments, or insurance industries
• Experience with on-premises and cloud solutions
• Previous consultancy experience
