Base Pay Range

Lorien's client is a growing, specialist consultancy helping organisations in regulated sectors such as FS and Healthcare to build and secure modern cloud infrastructure, ensuring that their key cloud environments are scalable, resilient and fit for business objectives. Their expertise spans Kubernetes, cloud security, and supply chain risk management, with a strong commitment to open-source development and industry innovation.

As a Cloud Architect/Engineer, you'll play a crucial role in designing, securing, and optimising cloud-native systems. The work is varied, combining hands-on technical problem-solving, advising clients on best practices, and contributing to internal research projects. You will also have the opportunity to work on open-source initiatives and develop tools that enhance security and automation in cloud environments.

What They’re Looking For

Our client's searching for Architects/Engineers with strong technical skills and a passion for cloud-native offerings. The ideal candidate will have in-depth knowledge of Kubernetes and experience working with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure. Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code, continuous integration and deployment workflows, and modern security practices is essential. A background in programming with languages like Golang, Python, or Java would be highly advantageous.

Additional expertise in areas such as identity management, secret management (e.g. HashiCorp Vault), GitOps offerings/methodologies, and ZeroTrust security principles would be beneficial but is not required. The key attributes they are looking for are problem-solving ability, a security-conscious mindset, and a desire to stay at the forefront of cloud innovation.

Our client fosters a culture that values innovation, learning, and employee well-being. On top of competitive remuneration of between 100 and 125K for the right person, they're happy to offer performance-related bonuses, opportunities for professional growth via training budgets that can be used for courses/certifications/conferences/coaching, dedicated time for personal development, research, and contributing to industry events, and more.

This is an opportunity to join a team of highly skilled engineers shaping the future of cloud security and infrastructure. If you’re passionate about working with cutting-edge technology and making a real impact, this role's a perfect fit.
