Job summary

Capgemini Invent is seeking a Cloud Architect to anchor cloud strategy and transformation engagements, combining architecture leadership with consulting storytelling. You will lead current-state assessments, design target architectures across AWS, Azure and GCP, and shape AI-ready platforms while translating technical choices into business language.

Hybrid working in the UK is standard, with base locations in London, Manchester or Glasgow.

Qualifications

• Hands-on architecture experience with at least one of AWS, Azure or GCP; professional-level certifications are highly desirable.
• Breadth across infrastructure, networking, security and data, with depth in cloud migration and application modernisation.
• Consulting-architect combination: technical credibility paired with the communication skills to whiteboard, run workshops and present with impact at senior levels.
• Experience designing for AI and data workloads - or a demonstrable interest in generative and agentic AI architectures - is highly desirable.
• Experience in consulting or client-facing roles, with the ability to be successful in a matrixed organisation.
• TOGAF or equivalent architecture frameworks are nice to have
• Experience working with external stakeholders with the ability to build trusted relationships

Responsibilities

• Lead current-state assessments and design target architectures across AWS, Azure and GCP.
• Define workload placement strategies and application modernisation patterns - from rehost through to re-platform and refactor.
• Design AI-ready platforms including data platforms, GenAI and agentic AI patterns.
• Translate architectural choices into business language and facilitate client workshops and presentations.
• Assure solutions through delivery and contribute to bids and proposition development.
• Own the architecture workstream on engagements and build trusted client relationships.
