We are looking for a Cloud and Infrastructure Architect to drive cloud and infrastructure architecture engagements with key stakeholders and leaders to translate the needs and aspirations of the Evri IT into target Infrastructure and cloud architecture strategies and roadmaps, provide solution designs and necessary governance for the function.

You will be accountable for:
- Specifying technical standards and patterns that assist in developing a secure, scalable governance and operating model
- Selecting cloud-native technologies within a layered domain architecture to meet information technology and business requirements
- Designing standards, frameworks, and processes to support and facilitate projects for the enterprise
- Providing effective and proactive support and expertise to programmes and projects involving on-premises infrastructure working with Evri Infrastructure and support partners
- Providing support in the creation and implementation of transition architectures, ensuring solutions are migrated and delivered in line with Enterprise Architecture strategy and guidelines
- Identifying and leveraging technology available in the Evri public cloud hosting platform to replace Evri developed, or supplier provided solutions
- Advising and consulting with technical teams on performance, scalability, reliability, monitoring and other operational concerns
- Working closely with other Solution Architecture/Designers to ensure consistency and quality of solutions and knowledge sharing
- Leading, advocating and driving adoption of “best practices” to ensure the standardisation of cloud architecture outputs across the enterprise architecture function through the architecture governance processes and bodies (Architecture Review Committee and Technical Design Authority)
- Documenting and maintaining all architectural artefacts and provide support to the business
- Engaging with 3rd Party entities (vendors/partners/consultancies), where necessary, through RFI and/or RFP processes or any other Evri approved process
- Providing input into the formulation of short/medium/long term Enterprise Architecture strategies and ensure their alignment with and effective support of Evri strategic business objectives
- Focusing on consolidating SaaS, PaaS, IaaS, hosting and software technologies enabling simplified support models, fewer contractual arrangements with technology suppliers and the commercial benefits of a consolidated technology estate
To be successful in this role you will require the following…
- 4+ years implementing cloud infrastructure projects as an Architect.
- 4+ years working with Microsoft technologies as an Architect or Engineer
- Qualified to degree level or possessing the relevant professional experience and working knowledge of core enterprise architecture domains with particular focus on cloud-based architectures
- Appropriate certifications in Azure or Microsoft technologies or cisco networking certifications
- Working experience of designing and architecting infrastructure using MS Azure at an enterprise level
- Experience in O technologies such as SharePoint, Exchange, etc.
- Experience in on-premise infrastructure technologies such as Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, VMware
- Understanding of virtualisation technologies such as VMware
- Beneficial to have worked in mixed vendor multi-cloud environments with significant exposure to Azure and AWS
- Experience with the evaluation and selection of new technologies based on the supplied requirements including managing proof of concepts or ‘spikes’ to validate if a considered technology is capable of delivering against the requirements
- Understanding of cloud architecture and patterns
- Working with physical and virtual network technology providers and understanding the concepts of network integration
- Desirable to have an understanding of enterprise-wide architectures within an Enterprise Architecture Framework, e.g. TOGAF
- Operational processes efficiency improvements through automation and process design/redesign and advantage
- IT cost optimisations through Enterprise Applications Rationalisation Programmes an advantage
