Job Description:

Job Purpose

To deliver an efficient and effective Diagnostic Imaging service by providing expertise and clinical activity in the Small Animal Hospital. To enhance and develop the delivery of clinical teaching to undergraduates, clinical scholars, and to undertake clinical research/scholarship within the neurology service, thereby contributing to the School's objectives of excellence in clinical service, teaching, and research.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • Clinical: Provide high-quality Diagnostic Imaging advice, support development of new techniques, contribute to quality assurance, supervise clinical duties and research projects, participate in professional bodies, ensure CPD compliance, and support promotional activities.
  • Teaching: Deliver undergraduate and postgraduate teaching, develop innovative teaching approaches, participate in assessments, and provide student feedback.
  • Clinical Research/Scholarship: Collaborate on clinical investigations, publish in high-quality journals, and participate in national/international seminars and conferences.
  • Administration: Promote the Diagnostic Imaging clinic, undertake administrative duties, and contribute to performance reviews.

Knowledge, Qualifications, Skills and Experience

Essential: Veterinary degree registerable with RCVS; for Grade 8, a Veterinary Diploma in Diagnostic Imaging; postgraduate clinical experience in Diagnostic Imaging.

Desirable: PhD or research training; Fellowship of the Higher Education Academy; teaching experience; clinical publications.

Skills: Excellent communication, teamwork, expertise in diagnostic imaging, strategic thinking, presentation skills, ability to work independently, and IT skills.

Terms and Conditions: Salary ranges from £39,347 to £56,021 per annum, full-time, open-ended. UK work eligibility required, with visa considerations for non-UK applicants.
