Waking Night Support Worker: Runcorn
We have an exciting opportunity for confident support workers who are fun and outgoing to support a gentleman in his 40s, who has a diagnosis of Neurodegeneration.
Please note we don’t offer sponsorship, and candidates must have a right to work in the UK
Key Job Role Information
Role –Female Support Worker
Location -Runcorn
Salary -£11.75 per hour
Shifts -The shift times are 22:00 - 08:00 am Waking Night
Expected hours –24 – 48 per week
Key Role essentials and responsibilities –
  1. Full UK drivers’ licence
  2. Competent verbal and written English
  3. Must have experience within health and social care settings
Meet the person you’ll be supporting:
  • Who am I? I am a gentleman in my 40's.
  • What challenges do I have? My mobility is very restricted and I require assistance with my hoist and sling. My speech is also affected by my condition and is limited. I communicate mainly through hand signals and head movements. I also have a PEG and require my medication through this.
  • What activities do I like to do? I love watching movies, series, and documentaries on CSI, Criminal Minds, and Superheroes. I am also a big Manchester City Fan.
  • What types of people do I get along with? Bubbly, and chatty people who can match my energy. I am non-verbal, so I also get on well with people who can be patient with my communication. If my staff are funny, we will get on just fine.
My team
  • How many people support me at one time? I am supported on a 2:1 ratio during the daytime and 1:1 for the night shifts.
  • What shift patterns do my team do? Waking Nights.
  • What are my team trained in? My staff will receive a bespoke training course specifically to cover my needs.
