Overview

LOCATION: London, UK

The Vendor Performance Analysis Manager supports the Development organization by analyzing business processes to optimize costs, improve supplier performance, and identify opportunities for value creation. Using data-driven insights and financial models, the manager aids in vendor selection, contract reviews, and identifying incremental cost-saving opportunities. Collaborating with the Vendor Alliance Lead and cross-functional teams, the role ensures effective sourcing strategies and supports supplier alignment with organizational goals. In this position, the manager focuses on tactical execution, operational support, and analytics-driven recommendations, while maintaining quality standards and fostering positive relationships with vendors.

Major accountabilities
  • Support data analysis efforts to identify cost-saving opportunities and ensure efficient sourcing decisions.
  • Conduct basic financial modeling and "should cost" analysis to facilitate vendor reviews and contract discussions.
  • Assist in gathering supplier data, market trends, and performance metrics for analysis and reporting purposes.
  • Collaborate with Procurement and other teams to streamline sourcing processes and improve operational efficiency.
  • Monitor and track sourcing KPIs and performance metrics to identify trends and areas requiring improvement.
  • Contribute to the development of dashboards, reports, and presentations to communicate insights and recommendations to stakeholders.
  • Provide operational support for sourcing-related projects and initiatives to drive incremental improvements.
Key performance indicators
  • Timely, efficient and quality execution of trials & trial related activities within assigned clinical program(s) within budget, and in compliance with quality standards.
  • Adherence to Novartis policy and guidelines and external regulations.
Minimum Requirements

Bachelor's degree or equivalent degree

Work Experience
  • 3+ years' working experience
  • Knowledge of clinical operation processes and vendor management experience a plus
  • Knowledge sourcing processes and cost structure within clinical research categories a plus
  • Experience with data analysis and visualization tools
  • Experience with financial modeling concepts.
  • Demonstrated problem solving and solution generations skills
  • Results driven demonstrated ability to support the execution of projects according to required deliverables and within timelines
  • Strong teamwork and collaboration skills in a cross-functional environment.
