Job summary

Bupa seeks a Clinical Unit Manager for Wingham Court Care Home in Esher. You will lead a team of nurses and care staff, ensuring high standards of care for adults with neurological conditions and brain injuries. Shifts are 8am–8pm, 48 hours a week, with a welcome bonus on joining.

The role emphasizes clinical leadership, patient-centred care, staff development, and community liaison. A valid NMC pin and healthcare experience are essential.

Qualifications

  • A Registered Nurse with a valid NMC pin.

Responsibilities

  • Promote residents' independence, choice and dignity by guiding the team.
  • Assess residents' wellbeing and maintain accurate records of physical, emotional and social needs.
  • Provide clinical guidance, lead by example and mentor staff for safe, efficient care.
  • Build strong relationships with residents, families and the local community.
  • Liaise with local partners to raise the home’s profile and partnerships.

Wingham Court Care Home, Oaken Lane, Claygate, Esher KT10 0RQ.

Salary: Up to £26.00. per hour depending on experience

Permanent 48 hours per week

8am-8pm shifts in the home.

The candidate must be expereinced in leading a team of Nurses and Care Assistants. Ideally the applicant will have experience working with younger adults aged 18 to 70. with long term neurological conditions and Brain Injury.

  • Creating and developing strong relationships with local partners, you will liaise with these partners, playing an important role in raising the care home's profile in the local area and beyond

Key Skills / Qualifications needed for this role:
  • A Registered Nurse with a valid NMC pin and a genuine commitment to adhering to the NMC Codes of Conduct and expanding your professional development

  • You're passionate about caring for the elderly and infirm (change as necessary) and have a flair for helping people maintain their independence, choice and dignity

  • An effective communicator who's able to build strong and honest relationships with residents and their families

  • Someone who's ready to use their clinical experience to lead, motivate and mentor a team - who's able to delegate effectively and promote excellent customer service and relationships.

  • A respectful and compassionate team player with the belief in giving your personal best.
