Job summary

Market Lavington Care Home, part of Care Concern Group, is seeking a Clinical Unit Manager (RGN) to lead a clinical unit in Wiltshire. You will drive evidence-based care, governance, and staff development within a supportive leadership team.

You will oversee medication management, care planning and regulatory compliance while mentoring the care and clinical teams. This senior role offers progression to deputy/home manager roles in a well-led organisation.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse (RGN) with an active NMC PIN.
• Strong clinical leadership and decision making.
• Experience leading a clinical team, ideally at a unit level.
• Ability to oversee standards, compliance and performance.
• Mentor and develop staff; communicate effectively.
• Good organisational and leadership abilities.

Job description

Market Lavington Care Home is a 79 bed care home located in the village of Market Lavington, near Devizes in Wiltshire. Providing residential, nursing and dementia care, the home offers a modern and welcoming environment with comfortable living spaces, accessible bedrooms, social areas and a secure garden. Colleagues work together as part of a caring team to provide high quality, person centred care and support Residents to enjoy a fulfilling daily life.

Clinical Unit Manager RGN Contract

• £24.82 to £25.82 per hour
• Contracted to 44 hours per week
• Paid DBS, pension, uniform provided
• 5.6 weeks annual leave (based on a full time contract)

Ongoing training, clinical updates and funded development, with clear progression into Deputy Manager and Home Manager roles, within a well led, structured environment where your leadership, clinical oversight and decision making are recognised and developed.

Role Overview

As Clinical Unit Manager, you will take responsibility for the clinical and operational leadership of your unit, ensuring high quality, safe and effective care is delivered at all times. This is a senior role where your leadership, clinical expertise and decision making will directly influence standards, outcomes and overall service quality.

You will lead and support the clinical and care teams, ensuring care is delivered in line with individual care plans, best practice and regulatory requirements. You will oversee clinical governance, medication management and performance across the unit, responding proactively to changes and driving continuous improvement.

Working closely with the Home Manager and wider leadership team, you will support service delivery, staff development and operational oversight. You will act as a role model, providing guidance, mentoring and support to ensure a confident, capable and well performing team.
