A national health board is seeking an experienced Clinical Tutor to join the Clinical Practice Team at the University of Glasgow. This role involves supervising Clinical Psychology trainees while contributing to high-quality education and training. Candidates should possess HCPC registration and experience in clinical supervision. The position offers flexible working arrangements and a generous NHS pension scheme.
Flexible Location: Based throughout Scotland, NES is a remote friendly employer supporting office and hybrid working. Please note, this post is based at the University of Glasgow and there will be some requirement to work in person at both the University of Glasgow and NES offices (177 Bothwell Street), as operationally required. Work Pattern: Permanent, Part Time, 18.5 hours per week (0.5WTE)
You must have eligibility and entitlement to work in the UK which is required to be maintained throughout your period of employment.
Who We Are
NHS Education for Scotland (NES) is the national health board with statutory responsibilities to effect sustainable change through workforce development, education and training across the health and social care system in Scotland, while working at UK level with partner organisations.
NES Psychology are responsible for training Psychologists for NHS Scotland and delivering education and training in psychological care to the multi-professional workforce across Scotland.
We work in partnership with Scottish Government and other key stakeholders to increase the capacity within the current workforce to deliver evidence based psychological interventions.
The Opportunity
We are looking for a Clinical Tutor to join the Clinical Practice Team for the University of Glasgow / NHS (Scotland) Clinical Psychology Training Programme. The Clinical Tutor post provides an opportunity to play a key role in contributing to the delivery and development of quality assured clinical practice education and training for Clinical Psychology Trainees.
You will be an experienced Clinical Psychologist, registered with HCPC and eligible for chartership with the BPS, with experience of supervising Clinical Psychology trainees in a clinical setting. You will have knowledge and interest in Clinical Practice education and an ability to manage challenging deadlines.

Alongside working closely with Trainees throughout their training, you will have the opportunity to support close partnership working with a range of key stakeholders, developing and implementing quality initiatives and projects as well supporting and delivering innovative clinical practice education whilst ensuring continuity of the current high quality standards of training.
