hVIVO is seeking a Research Nurse to support daily planning and execution in our viral challenge unit in Canary Wharf (E14) and Outpatient unit (E1) on a one year fixed-term contract. Start ASAP.

You will ensure safety, assist with workload management, coordinate clinical activities, mentor staff, and maintain documentation in line with ICH GCP and regulatory standards. Nursing qualification and NMC registration essential.

Qualifications

• GCP knowledge and clinical trials experience desirable.
• Nursing qualification (BSc Adult Nursing) and active NMC registration essential.
• Immunisation and vaccination certification desirable.
• Competence in recording medical history, vital signs, ECG and phlebotomy.

Responsabilités

• Maintain safety and wellbeing of study subjects under ICH GCP and NMC Code.
• Assist with daily workload management in the clinical environment.
• Plan and execute daily clinical activities.
• Mentor staff and ensure competence in tasks.
• Supervise ancillary staff as required.
• Promote SOPs and Health and Safety regulations.
• Support clinical assessments as per protocol.
• Perform nurse-specific procedures per protocol.
• Conduct informed consent procedures and maintain study documentation.
• Input into development of SOPs and procedural documents.
• Maintain subject safety and respond to emergencies per SOP and guidelines.
• Monitor deteriorating subjects and escalate appropriately.
• Check emergency equipment and medicines management.
• Supervise screening unit staff as delegated by Senior Research Nurse.
• Identify areas for service improvement and uphold high standards.
