Job summary

The Isle of Wight NHS Trust is recruiting a Clinical Trials Assistant to join our research team at Queen Alexandra Hospital, Cosham. This role supports delivery of clinical studies across specialties, assisting with study setup, recruitment, follow-up and day-to-day trial activities.

You'll work with research nurses and clinical teams, receive in-house training, and contribute to safe, compliant research practice. This is a permanent, full-time Band 3 position with Agenda for Change pay.

Qualifications

• NVQ 3 in Health and Social Care or equivalent.
• Evidence of continuing professional development.
• Care Certificate completed or ability to complete within 3 months of appointment.
• English and Maths GCSE/Functional Skills at level 1 or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Identify potentially eligible patients.
• Support recruitment and follow-up for studies.
• Assist research teams to ensure studies are delivered safely and in line with protocols.
