Job description

UCLH, one of London’s key cancer centers, is seeking to recruit a Clinical Trials Assistant on a 12-month fixed-term contract to support a growing number of cancer clinical trials. The successful candidate will be based within the Cancer Clinical Trials Unit (CCTU) located at 250 Euston Road.

The post holder will primarily be responsible for providing day-to-day administrative support to the research team and managing databases related to several trials within the team's portfolio. You will be part of a supportive and dynamic team, working closely with clinical research staff. Although the role is administrative, it is vital in supporting clinical research staff to deliver excellent care to patients with cancer. Full training will be provided, but the successful candidate will be expected to manage their own workload to meet team goals.

Main duties of the job:

We are looking for someone with an interest in clinical research and cancer, good verbal and written communication skills, and knowledge of Microsoft Office products such as Excel. This role is ideal for a new science graduate seeking their first experience in a healthcare setting.

We currently support hybrid remote working, allowing a combination of working from home and from the office. Flexibility regarding on-site work is essential, and you may be required to attend the office at short notice to ensure service coverage.
