Job summary

University of Oxford’s Draper Group in the Department of Paediatrics is seeking a Clinical Trials Project Manager to oversee the lifecycle of CTIMP trials, including recruitment and monitoring across UK and overseas sites.

The role requires degree-level education with extensive trial management experience and up-to-date GCP knowledge, working within a growing, diverse department focused on child health research.

Qualifications

• Educated to degree level (or equivalent) with extensive clinical trial project management experience.
• Knowledge of Good Clinical Practice (GCP) and regulatory/governance requirements for UK/overseas trials.
• Proven ability to identify and resolve problems proactively and communicate effectively in a fast-paced research environment.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate preparation and amendments of CTIMP trial applications for MHRA and ethics committees.
• Oversee participant recruitment and monitor trial conduct from setup to analysis.
• Ensure compliance with SOPs and GCP throughout the trial lifecycle across UK and overseas sites.

About the role

We have an exciting opportunity to join the Draper Group in the Department of Paediatrics as a Clinical Trials Project Manager.

You will play an important role in the contribution of development of malaria vaccines.

You will be responsible for performing key tasks within the Clinical Trial of an Investigational Medicinal Product (CTIMP) clinical trial lifecycle. This will include working with various team members to prepare and coordinate clinical trial applications and amendments for various bodies and partners including the MHRA and ethics committees. You will oversee participant recruitment, and monitoring trial conduct from setup to analysis. This includes assisting in all aspects of the team’s activities as appropriate, according to the principles of Good Clinical Practice (GCP) and relevant Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). You could be working on UK or overseas trials.

You will be working in a growing department within the Medical Sciences Division. The Department of Paediatrics is a world leader in child health research and hosts internationally renowned research programmes in drug development, gastroenterology, haematology, HIV, immunology, neuroimaging, neuromuscular diseases and vaccinology.

This position is offered full-time on a fixed-term contract initially 2 years, with the possibility to extend provided further external funding is available.

About you

You will have been educated to degree level (or equivalent experience) with extensive clinical trial project management experience and knowledge of GCP. You possess excellent up to date knowledge of clinical trials management of investigational medicinal products and associated regulatory and governance requirements for UK or overseas trials. You will have proven project management experience through the full lifecycle. You will have a proven ability toidentifyand resolve problems proactively, both independently and in collaboration with others.You will have highly effective verbal and written communication skills with all levels of staff and an ability to operate effectively in a demanding and fast paced research environment.

Salary (£) : 39,424 - 47,779 per annum (with a discretionary range to £51,983 per annum)
