Job summary

A leading healthcare provider is seeking a Research Nurse/Radiographer or Clinical Trial Practitioner for its Imaging Research Team. Job description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Research Nurse/Radiographer or Clinical Trial Practitioner to join the Imaging Research Team at Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust.

The post holder will be required to work cross-site to support and coordinate Imaging Lead Trials as part of the Imaging Research team.

The post-holder will work with all members of the multidisciplinary team in recruiting, screening, and caring for patients entering into clinical trials. The successful applicant must work autonomously and will manage a portfolio of Imaging trials, contributing to increasing patient participation to meet national targets.

The role requires excellent communication skills, an understanding of scientific protocols, and the ability to work independently.

Experience in research is essential; imaging experience is desirable.

This is a full-time, fixed-term 12-month maternity cover position. Part-time applications will also be considered.

Main duties of the job
  1. Assist in conducting research studies according to GCP standards, following protocols and SOPs.
  2. Support accurate and timely feasibility assessments of proposed studies.
  3. Ensure recruitment targets are met within set timelines.
  4. Support research in accordance with NIHR benchmarks; recruit the first patient within 30 days of NHS permission.
  5. Assist in obtaining NHS permissions for research studies.
  6. Prepare patient documentation, maintain accurate records, source data, and manage trial documents for audits.
  7. Maintain knowledge of Research Governance, GCP, current legislation, and updates.
  8. Understand roles of IRAS, CSP, Research Management & Governance, and Ethics Committees.
