Job summary

NHS Scotland is seeking a highly motivated secretarial professional for a fixed-term/secondment opportunity (1 year) to cover a substantive post holder’s leave within the Acute Services Directorate.

You will hold an HNC or SVQ III in Secretarial Studies / Business Administration with relevant secretarial/audio typing experience, and you will be able to work accurately under pressure within a team.

Qualifications

• HNC or SVQ III in Secretarial Studies / Business Administration
• Sound knowledge of office procedures
• Ability to work accurately under pressure
• Mature outlook and ability to work within a team

Responsibilities

• Provide a quality audio typing service to ensure smooth operation of clinical letters within Acute Services Directorate.
• Transcribe letters, using G2 dictation system.
• Manage patient enquiries in a pleasant and helpful manner.
