The Position:

We are seeking a full-time Clinical Therapist for our Balboa site in Northridge to provide comprehensive outpatient treatment services to children, adolescents and their families in the office, community and school-based settings.

What You’ll Do

Provide therapeutic services to individuals, families, and groups, including clients in an outpatient and school-based setting.

Conduct intakes, assessments, and develop individualized treatment and discharge plans, ensuring ongoing monitoring and adjustment.

Offer field-based services in homes or community settings as needed to meet client needs.

Manage client crises and symptoms, including participating in an on-call rotation for after-hours support.

Engage caregivers through family sessions, education programs, and support groups to enhance treatment outcomes.

Collaborate with school personnel such as teachers and counselors to coordinate care and identify students needing mental health services.

Maintain compliance with documentation standards, including HIPAA and agency/funder guidelines, while meeting assigned billable hour targets.

Participate in required trainings, supervision, and meetings, including evidence-based practices and crisis response protocols.

  • A.M.F.T. and A.C.S.W. $68,640
  • L.M.F.T. and L.C.S.W. $69,640 – $75,640
  • Waivered Psychologist: $76,640
  • Licensed Psychologist: $77,640 – $83,640
  • Additional years of experience will be considered as well
  • $3,000 differential available for bilingual Spanish-English proficiency (must pass Spanish Proficiency Assessment to qualify)

Qualifications

  • Bilingual in Spanish and English required.
  • Experience working with children and families.
  • Strong assessment and clinical judgment skills.
  • Knowledge of evidence-based child and family interventions relevant to families served in the community mental health settings.
  • Ability to develop reasonable, appropriate treatment plans and clinical programs to meet the needs of the clients.
  • Experience working with children ages 0-5 preferred.
  • Ph.D., Psy.D., MSW, or MA/MS with an emphasis on marriage and family therapy. Must be eligible to register with the Board of Psychology or Board of Behavioral Sciences.
