Overview

An exciting opportunity in the Radiation Physics team of Medical Physics & Biomedical Engineering at UCLH Trust. We are looking for a self-motivated clinical technologist to contribute to the radiation protection services, including the personal dosimetry service, environmental monitoring, x-ray and ultrasound QC and monitor calibration services. Training will be provided if required for those with limited experience.

Responsibilities
  • Contribute to the radiation protection services, with a focus on the personal dosimetry service, environmental monitoring, and QC and calibration activities for x-ray and ultrasound equipment.
  • Work across all departments and sites within UCLH and with a broad range of external customers in and around London.
  • Collaborate with the team to ensure high standards of safety, quality, and service delivery in medical physics.
Qualifications
  • HND or BSc (Hons) degree in Physics or a Physics-related subject.
  • Previous experience of working with a personal dosimetry service is advantageous; training will be provided if required.
  • Knowledge or understanding of radiation protection in healthcare; understanding of other physics services such as Nuclear Medicine and Radiotherapy.

The post is a full-time position working alongside a team of 14 clinical scientists and 1 other technologist.
