A leading healthcare organization is offering a 12-month secondment for a Voice Service Lead in the Blackburn area. This role involves operational leadership, clinical assessment, and development of services for patients with voice disorders, along with opportunities to contribute to research and training within an integrated health environment. 12 month secondment opportunity (maternity cover) to operationally lead and deliver the Voice service to outpatients (adults and children) with clinical voice disorders.
This is an ideal opportunity to develop a leadership portfolio and an experienced band 6 with relevant skills looking to grow their experience, are welcome to apply. Experience of working with upper airways conditions (e.g., chronic cough, laryngeal hypersensitivity, inducible laryngeal obstruction and Long COVID) is desirable alongside underpinning knowledge of neurology.
The well-established model of an 'ENT SLT' service at ELHT means that there may be the opportunity for the successful applicant to clinically contribute to Head & Neck and FEES services where appropriate and according to competencies and experience.

Actively involved in a range of service and workforce initiatives across the Lancashire and South Cumbria ICSand research including collaborations with ELHT & UCLan's AHP Professor in Neurorehabilitation and Stroke.
The service is well equipped and is supported by a team of administrators, SLT Assistants and Therapy Assistant Practitioners. Regular team meetings, an annual SLT Showcase of best practice and SLT, Stroke and Neuro Improvement Showcase.Continual improvement is embedded in our daily work and service improvement initiatives.We are committed to continuing professional development and this is underpinned by supervision, regular line management and an annual appraisal system.
