Job summary
This post offers the right candidate the opportunity to become a dynamic and innovative teacher involved in designing and delivering undergraduate medical education for Imperial College and City, St Georges medical students. As a key member of the medical teaching team, you will work with local CTF forums to maintain an excellent student experience, create teaching materials, and contribute to assessments and feedback, including clinical skills and simulation.

Main duties of the job
The appointed CTFs will be responsible for planning, delivering, assessing, and evaluating teaching activities such as tutorials, bedside teaching, clinical skills, grand rounds, and clinics, with a focus on emergency medicine and simulation. You will organize formative assessments, mock OSCEs, and pre-foundation training, and will be involved in quality assurance and innovative teaching methods. You will serve as a key contact for medical staff involved in education.

Person specification
Teaching experience:
Essential: Completed a Teach the Teachers course; designed and delivered medical student teaching programs.
Desirable: Studying or completed a PG Certificate in Teaching; experience with high-fidelity simulation training.
NHS experience:
Essential: Minimum two years working within the NHS or Foundation Programme completion or equivalent.
Additional requirements: Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check, current UK professional registration.
