Job description

Support the digital backbone of health care by joining HCRG Care Group as a Clinical Systems Technician and help ensure the smooth operation of our vital clinical technologies.

We are now seeking a detail-oriented and technically proficient Clinical Systems Technician to join our Clinical Systems team.

Working as part of a friendly and supportive team of seven, you'll play a key role in the support and day-to-day maintenance of our clinical systems estate, with a particular focus on EMIS Web and associated technologies.

This role is predominantly remote working, which offers greater flexibility and improves work-life balance, something that we are passionate about as an organisation.

Main duties of the job

As the Clinical Systems Technician in EMIS, your main responsibilities will include:

  • Managing support requests using our ITSM software and MS Teams, including detailed investigation and resolution documentation.
  • Contributing to the development of a comprehensive Knowledge Base to assist end users, under the guidance of the Clinical Systems Compliance Lead.
  • Performing routine configuration changes in clinical systems, such as letter templates and diary setups.
  • Participating in team meetings and service development initiatives.
  • Providing end-user support, demonstrating system tasks, and signposting to training resources.
  • Handling record management issues, including record merges and liaising with the National Back Office.
  • Investigating system errors and issues, liaising with suppliers, and updating the Knowledge Base with resolutions.
  • Supporting major incident management, including communication and escalation procedures.
