Overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly skilled and motivated individual to work in the Specialist School Nursing Team. This is a term time role and the successful candidate will be required to work across all 5 sites if needed, on a 4 day/week roster. Hours of work are 0830-1600.

The SSNT work in 5 specialist provision schools across Calderdale and Kirklees, managing and supporting a caseload of children with medical and nursing needs.

Responsibilities
  • Work as part of the Specialist School Nursing Team as a clinical support worker in providing compassionate care to pupils, service users, carers and families.
  • Support pupils during the school day to meet their medical and nursing needs, through direct and indirect care within clearly defined limits and attainment of agreed competence.
  • Be able to work without constant direct supervision using initiative within the level of competence for the post.
  • Manage and support a caseload of children with medical and nursing needs across five specialist provision schools.
Requirements/Qualifications
  • Experience caring for and supporting children and families with complex medical and nursing conditions.
  • Experience working with children and young people with learning disabilities.
  • Willingness to work across multiple sites in a term-time role; rosters include 4 days per week, 0830-1600.
