Clinical Support Worker - At North Tees & Hartlepool NHS Foundation Trust, we are on a continuous journey seeking motivated Clinical Support Workers to join our teams at North Tees and Hartlepool NHS Foundation Trust.

It is an essential requirement that you have NVQ Level 3 in Care to apply for this role.

We have exciting opportunities for a Clinical Support Worker within the Centralised Outpatients team. The successful candidate will work as part of the Centralised Outpatient team and will focus attention on the development of specific specialty competencies required to meet the service need. Working in Centralised Outpatients will open up some excellent opportunities for the successful candidate to develop knowledge and skills. The role requires the post holder to be able to undertake other duties to meet the changing needs and priorities of the Trust and service. This may include seven days working, evenings, weekends, and bank holidays on any trust premises.

Responsibilities:

1. Support specialist areas within Centralised Outpatients with the competency-based skills required for the specialty.
2. Promote and deliver patient-centred care aligned with the Trust vision and Nursing and Midwifery strategy.
3. Support a continuously improving service, in line with the clinical governance framework, Trust objectives and the NHS Performance framework including digital technology.
4. Continually develop professionally to ensure the post holder has the appropriate level of skill, knowledge, and competence to meet the service/specialty requirements.
5. Help maintain a clean and safe department.
6. Contribute to managing stock levels and ordering stock appropriately.
7. Maintain effective communication with patients, carers, relatives, and staff.
8. Provide support to specialist areas within Centralised Outpatients.
9. Complete specific competencies to support specialist clinics.
10. Ongoing development of knowledge and skills in order to maintain competence.
11. Set up clinics to meet the requirements of the service.
12. Maintain a safe, clean environment in line with IPC requirements.
13. Participate in programmes of in-service training as required.
14. Chaperone patients as required.
15. Establish and maintain good relationships with patients, carers, and staff alike.
16. Use digital technology that supports the Outpatient services.
17. Ensure safe use of equipment required to support Outpatient activity.
