We have multiple openings within our Intensive Care Unit at Royal Lancaster Infirmary for 'Critical Care Healthcare Support Workers' to join our team.
As a Clinical Support Worker (CSW) on the ICU, you will play a vital role in our vision for the future workforce of Intensive Care. You will assist the registered nursing team in delivering high-quality care to our patients, including direct patient care, patient rehabilitation, and supporting essential unit functions such as stock and equipment management, as well as general housekeeping.

The primary responsibilities of the Clinical Support Worker include providing fundamental nursing care, assisting in emergency situations, and supporting registered nurses to maintain high standards of care.
Our services operate across three main hospitals: Furness General Hospital (FGH) in Barrow, Royal Lancaster Infirmary (RLI), and Westmorland General Hospital (WGH) in Kendal, along with community health facilities including Millom Hospital, Queen Victoria Hospital in Morecambe, and Ulverston Community Health Centre.
FGH and RLI offer comprehensive hospital services, including Emergency Departments, Critical/Coronary Care units, and specialist clinics. WGH provides general hospital services, an Urgent Treatment Centre, and outpatient care for non-life-threatening conditions.
All facilities deliver planned care, diagnostics, outpatient services, and day surgeries. Our community services for adults are provided in homes, clinics, GP practices, community hospitals, and main hospitals, aiming to support independence and health management through high-quality care and advice.
