Job overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen to recruit a motivated and enthusiastic Band 3 Clinical Support Worker Higher Level – Community to work within the Working Community Nursing Team.

This role requires you to demonstrate the skills and knowledge to support the provision of high quality care, to support patients with complex needs within the community setting.

We currently have a vacancy for a 9month 21 hour maternity leave cover contract . Daily working hours are between 8:30 and 22:30

As a Clinical Support Worker Higher Level – Community, working under the direction of a registered health care professional, you would be expected to undertake a range of patient nursing and care duties including clinical observations, insulin administration, wound care, pressure area management, catheter maintenance and recording patient information.

As a Clinical Support Worker Higher Level – Community you will work independently throughout the day visiting patients in both their own homes and residential homes to deliver patient care.

The Care Group is commissioned to provide 24/7 nursing services.

Qualifications
  • Level 3 vocational qualification or Short courses and completion of competency workbook equivalent to Level 3 in a range of patient and clinical care duties or Equivalent knowledge and experience in a range of clinical care duties equivalent to Level 3; - Theoretical knowledge - Experience of a range of care and related procedures - clinical observations knowledge of data protection legislation and health and safety at work legislation
  • National Care Certificate or commitment to complete within 12 weeks of commencing employment
  • Numeracy and Literacy Level 2
  • Undertaken relevant additional training for Clinical Support Workers

  • Experience of working in health or social care.
