Clinical Support Worker/Clinical Support Worker Higher Level

Clinical support worker/Clinical Support Worker Higher Level play a vital role in providing excellent care to patients across all NHS care settings.

They can work with many different patient groups, of all ages, including those receiving acute care, people with learning disabilities, physical disabilities or mental health conditions, and in maternity services.

The Clinical Support Worker/Clinical Support Worker Higher Level role can also lead to a range of career opportunities. Support the Venous Access team to deliver a seamless service.

Prep the clinical area prior to the procedure

Decontaminate the clinical area post procedure

At busy times may be required to transfer clients back to the ward

Applicants will be required to contribute to on-going development and improvements within the service.

We will require the successful candidate to work days, weekends and bank holidays on a rotational basis.

Main duties of the job

Post holders will be appointed at band 2 or band 3 depending upon qualifications.

Band 2 requirements - willingness to undertake all relevant training and qualifications if wishing to develop into a band 3 role.

Band 3 requirements - Numeracy and Literacy Level 2 or GCSE equivalent (A-C/ 4-9)

Short courses and completion of

competency workbook equivalent

to Level 3 in a range of patient and

and/or

Equivalent knowledge and

experience in a range of clinical

care duties equivalent to Level 3;

  • Must complete the care certificate within the 6 months probationary period and 'on the job training'; instruction will be provided - this is an NHS entry level requirement.
