Job summary

Are you a caring, motivated, and kind person who likes to think on your feet? Looking to join a Trust that will invest in your future and help you thrive in your career? Want to develop and learn new skills whilst making a difference?

If you are a committed and compassionate person who gets a buzz from helping others, and you're interested in starting a career within the NHS, our Clinical Support Worker (CSW) role could be the perfect fit for you.

The CSW role is what you make of it. It can be challenging but also incredibly rewarding. If you're ambitious and interested in career development, we will support you to grow, including access to paid training courses. Many of our nurses and clinical leaders began their NHS careers as CSWs and were supported by the Trust to progress.

CWP has adopted the Living Wage. Where the standard Agenda for Change hourly rate is below Living Wage, pay will be supplemented to this level.

Main duties of the job

Our CSWs are an important part of our workforce at CWP. All our CSWs share a commitment to our values: Care; Compassion; Commitment; Courage; Communication; and Competence.

You will work with adults with learning disabilities as part of a supportive team. Admissions are short-term for individuals with learning disabilities and complex needs requiring assessment, treatment, or therapy within an inpatient unit. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills and be able to build relationships with colleagues and patients.

With the care you give, you'll make a difference to patients with learning disabilities and complex needs and their families every day.

You should be hardworking, enjoy a challenge, and have good communication skills. Training will be provided for all aspects of the role, so you may learn new skills.

The ward operates 24/7, with shifts including days, nights, and weekends (Days: 07:30-20:00; Nights: 19:30-08:00).

Join our team at one of our Assessment and Treatment units for adults with learning disabilities in Chester. Eastway has been rated Outstanding by CQC.

About us

We employ around 4,500 staff across 73 sites, serving Wirral, Cheshire, Trafford, Warrington, Bolton, Halton, Liverpool, and the North West.

Our goal is to improve lives with a compassionate, person-centered approach. We are rated Outstanding for Caring by CQC and overall Good.

As a Disability Confident Employer, Rainbow Badge Scheme member, Veteran Aware, and Armed Forces Covenant Gold Award holder, CWP values diversity and inclusivity. We offer a three-week induction and support new starters to succeed.

Whether starting your career or seeking to use your skills in a new role, CWP has something for you.
