Job summary

NHS Lanarkshire is seeking two motivated Band 3 Healthcare Support Workers for ward 9 at University Hospital Hairmyres. The Role

NHS Lanarkshire currently has two Band 3 HCSW vacancies within ward 9, University Hospital Hairmyres and we are looking for 2 highly motivated individuals to come and join our cardiology team.

As part of a multidisciplinary team, you will carry out care duties for patients, in support of a registered nurse, and will regularly work unsupervised and carry out assigned duties to maintain hygiene, order and safety within the ward environment.

Duties may vary with the type of ward/department and the degree of patient dependency.

What we'll need you to bring
  • SVQ III in healthcare, or working towards, or equivalent working within a caring environment/role.

  • Ability to carry out assigned patient care tasks effectively within a busy environment.
  • Ability to work unsupervised.
  • To actively participate in the Personal Development Plan process to fulfil the requirements of continuing professional development.

These vacancies consist of 29.6 hours and 23.9 hours per week

Please note these are part time posts and the salary for these positions will be pro-rata.

Location and Working Pattern

This role will be based in Ward 9 within University Hospital Hairmyres

The working pattern for this role: Rotational dayshift/nightshift/weekend posts.
