A national health service provider in Scotland is seeking experienced nurses to perform telephone assessments and provide clinical supervision. The ideal candidate will have NMC registration, strong clinical skills, and experience in acute or primary care settings. As NHS Scotland's unique provider of a national tele-health and tele-care service, we are responsible for the delivery of health advice and information by telephone and online services to the population of Scotland 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. NHS 24 is a patient‑focused service providing the people of Scotland with triage, advice, guidance, referral and information on health and healthcare services.
Our Regional Centres are located at Aberdeen, Cardonald, Clydebank, Dundee and South Queensferry. This role is advertised for our South Queensferry Regional Centre.
NHS 24 offers a total reward package, with a permanent contract on Band 6 £41,608 - £50,702* (pro rata for part‑time hours). Placement on salary scale is dependent on confirmation of previous relevant NHS service.
Competitive salary enhancements for working unsocial hours are in addition to the above basic starting salary of £41,608, this means that the following hourly rates would be applicable –
Basic Hourly Rate of £21.57
Saturday / After 8pm Weekday Hourly Rate of £32.34
Sunday / Public Holiday Hourly Rate of £43.13
As NHS 24 is predominately an out of hours employer, this means that actual earnings will include payments made for working evenings, nights, weekend shifts and public holidays.
As an example, Clinical Supervisors, on a starting salary of £41,608 working 37.30 or 24 hours rotas with 5 out of 8 weekends, could expect to receive estimated earning as follows –
Contracted hours: 37 => Monthly Basic Pay £3,467, Monthly Enhancements £1,248, Monthly total £4,715.
Contracted hours: 30 => Monthly Basic Pay £2,811, Monthly Enhancements £1,011, Monthly total £3,822.
Contracted hours: 24 => Monthly Basic Pay £2,248, Monthly Enhancements £809, Monthly total £9,057.
* Figures shown are before deductions.
12, 18, 24, 30 hours/week – hours are worked on average across an 8‑week rota pattern.
