Job Overview
This post is Fixed term/Secondment for 12 months to meet the needs of the service.
This is an exciting opportunity to become an Immunisation Nurse (Band 6 Clinical Supervisor) working within the Immunisation Team. The aim of the post is to oversee the team of immunisers in the safe delivery of immunisations to the school aged population. The aim of the Team is to support the current School Nursing service with the delivery of the immunisation programme across Wrexham and Flintshire; in school, clinics or the home environment.
The objectives are to promote and increase the uptake of school-aged immunisations in line with government targets; minimise the impact of the immunisation programme upon other core School Nursing services; develop a cohesive high functioning team; integrate the dedicated team into current school nursing teams; and ensure a seamless delivery of the programme demonstrating best practice and positive outcomes.
Candidates must hold current NMC registration.
