Job summary

Clearline Recruitment Ltd partners with a leading global healthcare organisation to recruit a Clinical Study Manager in Welwyn Garden City. The role is hybrid, requiring 3 days in the office, and focuses on delivery and management of early-phase clinical trials with international teams.

You will manage sites, vendors and timelines, ensuring ICH-GCP compliance, multi-country expertise, and strong stakeholder relations. The contract is 12 months inside IR35 with on-site work three days weekly.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Clinical Study Manager in pharma or healthcare.
• Multi-country clinical study management experience essential.
• Strong experience managing external vendors and CROs.
• Experience delivering early-phase clinical trials.
• Good understanding of ICH-GCP and trial regulations.
• Experience managing study documentation, timelines and operational risks.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Proactive, organised and independent working style.
• Must attend Welwyn Garden City office 3 days per week.

Responsibilities

• Manage the operational delivery of early-phase clinical studies.
• Coordinate multi-country study activities and timelines.
• Support protocol design, feasibility assessments and country selection.
• Oversee clinical site start-up and patient recruitment activities.
• Manage vendor relationships, performance and contractual deliverables.
• Maintain study documentation, including Trial Master Files and informed consent forms.
• Oversee clinical trial supplies and investigational medicinal product requirements.
• Identify and manage study risks, issues and operational challenges.
• Work with cross-functional teams to ensure study quality and compliance.
• Support improvements to study processes and efficiency.

Hours: Full-time

Contract: 12 months, Inside IR35

Pay: £377.64 - £415.29 per day PAYE basic excluding holiday pay or £500 - £550 per day Umbrella
