Job summary

Liverpool Women’s NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an experienced sonographer to become a Clinical Specialist Sonographer in Practice Education in a 12-month Annex U development post. The role includes an 80/20 clinical/non-clinical split and must support ultrasound education, trainee mentoring and quality assurance at Liverpool Women’s Hospital site.

The post requires completion of an MSc and hosts a minimum commitment of 30 hours per week, with non-specialist obstetric/gynaecology ultrasound

Qualifications

• Experience coordinating ultrasound education, peer-review and quality assurance.
• Will pursue MSc as part of role.
• Commitment to minimum 30 hours per week.
• Non-specialist obstetric and gynaecology ultrasound work remains a key clinical component.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and facilitate ultrasound education across the service.
• Act as lead mentor for ultrasound trainees.
• Work with the Consultant Sonographer on trainee governance.
• Support clinical workload with obstetric/gynaecology ultrasound duties.
