A leading healthcare trust in Coventry is looking for a Clinical Specialist Physiotherapist Team Leader to manage patient care and support junior staff. The ideal candidate will have a relevant physiotherapy degree and experience in overseeing complex cases. Be professionally & legally responsible & accountable for all aspects of own work, including managing patients in own care. Ensure a high standard of clinical care for patients under own management & support junior staff to do likewise. Interpret & analyse clinical & non-clinical facts to form accurate diagnoses & prognoses in a wide range of highly complex conditions, recommend interventions, evaluate outcomes, and develop comprehensive treatment plans. Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients, including those with complex presentations, investigate & analyse skills, and formulate individualized management & treatment plans, including specialized programmes of care. Assess patient understanding of treatment proposals & gain informed consent, working within the legal framework for patients who lack capacity to consent. Accept clinical responsibility for own caseload, organizing it effectively & efficiently according to patient progress. Oversee/supervise caseloads of junior staff to ensure prioritization based on acuity of need across service areas. Provide highly specialist clinical services contributing to diagnosis, care, or treatment within the specialty. Maintain a safe, clean environment adhering to Trust standards of hygiene & infection control. Collaborate with Consultants and other agencies for patient referrals and to develop strategic & operational management of the service area within professional guidelines. Offer advice, teaching, & instruction to relatives, carers, & professionals to promote understanding of therapy aims and ensure a consistent approach to patient care. Manage clinical events of varying unpredictability and physical effort according to patient needs. Abide by standards set by professional bodies and the Health & Care Professions Council. Communicate effectively, plan, organize, & work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated service delivery. Comply with policies & procedures, reviewing & adapting practices as needed. Develop strong relationships within the team and with other therapy leads to optimize service delivery. Maintain accurate, comprehensive, & up-to-date documentation, communicating assessment & treatment outcomes appropriately.
