Are you looking for a clinical role in mental health that has the opportunity to develop Physiotherapy provision across our Suffolk inpatient services?
We are looking for a band 7 Physiotherapist to join our Allied health professionals team working across the inpatient mental health wards in Ipswich. This permanent position is an exciting opportunity to shape the clinical provision at Woodlands and lead on development, delivery and evaluation of physiotherapy. The role also requires the postholder to supervise a band 6 Physiotherapist in our west Suffolk inpatient site, developing this new role in their AHP team. Working with a range of service users, a key part of this role is providing access to physiotherapy for older adults with dementia, frailty and functional mental health diagnosis.
You would be working with established multidisciplinary teams on the wards, including consultant psychiatrists, nurses, OTs, psychology and activity workers. This post sits within an AHP team that offers assessment and intervention across all the wards.

HCPC registration and CSP membership is essential for this role.
Within our service you will have the opportunity to work with adult inpatients and older people who have organic (Dementia) and functional presentations such as psychosis, anxiety and mood disorders. You will have the opportunity to use your physical health training alongside the ability to communicate and engage with service users experiencing complex mental and physical health needs and work to tackle health inequalities.
